October 8, 2024
Dear Bridge Academy of Southwest Michigan family,
As a follow up from my last communication with you at the end of September, I wanted to provide you with an update on our 499 West Main Street facility.
Out of an abundance of caution, our Bridge Academy of Southwest Michigan team and our students will continue to work remotely until the mold remediation work is complete as it may be noisy and dusty in our facility. We do not have an expected completion date at this time. All Bridge Academy teachers will continue to be available online during regular school hours.
We understand this disruption in our services is not ideal and staff and students are eager to get back to normal as soon as possible. In the meantime, we are pleased to announce some in-person options for students to receive support at an alternate location. Temporary in-person and online appointments are available for Bridge Academy students beginning on Tuesday, October 8. Students can use these appointments to meet with teachers and success coaches to ensure a great start to the year.
In-Person Options:
Monday and Tuesdays from 1pm-3pm: Alternate location drop in hours
Wednesday and Thursdays from 2pm-3pm: Harbor Impact Gym Class
Students who are planning to attend any of these onsite sessions should RSVP to their success coach by 11am on the day of session. Transportation may be available.
Online Options:
Students may connect with teachers or success coaches by phone, email or google classroom. JMG class will be held online from 2pm-3pm on Monday or Tuesday. Students should log into the Vocational Google Classroom to access this class virtually at the designated time.
I will communicate updates as they arise. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me directly. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to ensure the health and safety of our school community.
Sincerely,
Allie Knapp | School Leader
